The ingenious design of the Blo-Poke dates back over 100 years. John Hopkins Smith first came up with the idea while stationed in France during WWI when he saw farmers from the French countryside using rifle barrels to stoke their fires. The Blo-Poke is handcrafted in Bristol, CT using Mr. Smith’s original mold. Two forged brass pieces on each end, one for blowing, the other for poking. A heavy-duty brass “tube” is bonded to the forged brass pieces to make a highly functional fireplace tool and sure-fire conversation starter.  A distinctive compliment to any hearth.

This is simply the best fireplace tool in the world. You know that point when your fire starts to die down a little and its a pain to keep it going – the blopoke literally solves the problem. Move the wood around, blow air into the amber bed and the fire roars back to life. The best. 6 stars..

A really must have tool for any fireplace – because 1) it works great to help start and keep a fire going 2) it’s fun to use, 3) plus looks sharp – I like the all brass model.
